This luxury lodge sleeps 4 people and is located in the Highland Perthshire villages of Dunkeld and Birnam, on the Erigmore Estate. It nestles in an area of outstanding natural beauty with the River Tay no more than 500 yards away, overlooking both the river and the surrounding hills. Birnam Hill, made famous in Shakespeare's Macbeth, is one of them !
The lodge consists of 1 kingsize bedroom with en-suite bathroom, complete with fitted wardrobes and wall mounted tv. Th 2nd bedroom has two single beds with en-suite bathroom, fitted wardrobe and wall mounted tv.
There is a very well equipped kitchen area with separate fridge and freezer, microwave, gas hob and oven, and dishwasher. All kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware are supplied.
The dining area seats 4 people very comfortably around a spacious table with overhanging pendant light.
The Lounge area has 2 sofas, remote controlled electric feature fire, flat screen wall mounted tv with surround sound, blu ray dv and cd player.
Patio doors lead from the lounge to the decking which surrounds the lodge where you can sit at the table and chairs. There is also a barbecue and patio area at the side of the lodge.
The lodge has full gas central heating and instant hot water from a combi boiler. There is also a private parking space
Erigmore Estate has an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna which our guests may use free of charge.. There is also a bar serving fine wines, craft beers, tea, coffee and sweet treats. BT Sport is shown in the adjoining
conservatory.
The park is a safe and secure environment with 24 hour security and CCTV, providing you with an environment in which you can truly relax.
The villages of Dunkeld and Birnam are popular holiday destinations,located at the Gateway to the Highlands and conveniently accessible by rail or road. They provide the perfect location to enjoy the outstanding beauty of Perthshire.
The River Tay separates the villages which are connected by Thomas Telford's magnificent two hundred year old bridge. Dunkeld is most famous for its cathedral located on the banks of the river ( a popular wedding venue) and also boasts a selection of interesting shops. The 18 hole golf course overlooking Dunkeld enjoys spectacular views and the nearby Loch of the Lowes Wildlife reserve is home to breeding Ospreys. In Birnam you will find the Beatrix Potter Exhibition and Garden part of the splendid Birnam Institute - a community run Arts and Performance Centre with live music, shows, and exhibitions.
This is a convenient location for exploring Scotland with both Edinburgh and Glasgow being only an hours drive away. There are also many places around Perthshire to visit including Castles, Distilleries, Gardens, Golf Courses and quaint towns and Villages.
